Ingredients
DUSTING
1/8 cup Gluten Free Nomad's All Purpose 1:1 Baking Flour
Pinch of salt
BATTER
1/2 cup Gluten Free Nomad's All Purpose 1:1 Baking Flour
1 tsp baking powder
Salt to season
Sparkling or soda water
Oil for frying
Method
-
Add the seafood in a bag and shake the pieces of seafood in the dusting mix.
-
In a separate bowl, make the batter and mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
-
Slowly add in the sparkling water and whisk, ensuring there are no lumps (start by forming a paste and then add more water until the desired consistency is reached - you can add more water if you prefer a thinner batter). You might like to add more water as you are cooking if the batter becomes thicker.
-
Add oil into a deep pot or pan so you have a shallow amount and heat on a medium/high heat.
-
Add your dusted seafood into the batter and then slowly pop into the oil
-
Turn once - one side is done and once golden brown, remove and place on paper towel. Continue until finished.
-
Season with salt and serve straight away.
