Gluten Free Pizza Dough

Time to get your pizza on, gluten free style! This simple recipe makes 3 delicious, fluffy gluten free pizza dough bases that'll have everyone asking for more. Top with whatever you fancy, bake and enjoy the gluten free magic.  

INGREDIENTS

Wet

      550g warm water (37°C)

      25g extra virgin olive oil

Dry

      600g Gluten Free Nomad 1-to-1 Baking Flour 

      2 tsp dry yeast

      15g sugar (this is for the yeast)

      2 tsp salt 


METHOD

Dough

  1. In a bowl, add your ingredients from wet to dry. 
  2. Mix with a spatula until ingredients come together and away from the sides of the bowl
  3. Sprinkle work surface with flour and place dough on work surface. Knead and bring dough together in to a ball (no longer than 5 min)

Rising

  1. Drizzle a large bowl with olive oil and place dough in - turn the dough over and rub top with oil from the bowl
  2. Cover with cling wrap and then put in a warm place for approx. 1 - 2 hours until it doubles in size.

Divide & Stretch/roll out dough

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C 
  2. Once doubled in size, place dough on lightly floured surface and shape in to a log. 
  3. Divide dough in to 3 equal portions
  4. Take one ball and place on baking paper, use your hands to stretch out in to a pizza base (approximately 20cm)
  5. Transfer pizza base on to pizza tray by picking up pizza on baking paper and flipping over onto tray

Toppings & cooking

  1. Add your sauce and toppings e.g. 1 tablespoon sauce and handful of cheese
  2. Once you've added all your toppings, transfer to oven and cook for 15-18 mins
  3. Cut into pizza slices and serve immediately
