Making gluten free pita bread has never been easier with just three simple ingredients. Using Gluten Free Nomad's 1:1 All Purpose Baking Flour, you can easily make soft, fluffy pita pockets without any hassle.
Ingredients
300g Gluten Free Nomad's 1:1 All Purpose Baking Flour
2 tsp baking powder
250-300g Greek Yoghurt (substitute with coconut yoghurt for a dairy free)
Method
-
Add flour and baking powder to a bowl and combine
-
Start by adding 250g of Greek yoghurt and mix. If the flour and yoghurt aren't coming together as a dough, add in additional yoghurt starting off with a tablespoon at a time
-
Form dough into a ball and divide in to 4-6 balls
-
Put a piece of baking paper on the bench, place 1 ball on the paper and use your hands to form a flat pita bread (you can also place a ball in between 2 pieces of baking paper and roll out with a rolling pin)
-
Repeat until you've formed 4-6 flat pita breads
-
Heat pan on the stove on medium heat and add approx. 1/2 - 1 tsp of olive (careful not to use too much oil).
-
When hot, place one pita bread on the heated surface and cook for 3-4 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 3-4 mins. Repeat process until all the pita breads are cooked.
